This selection is great for well seasoned sake palate. 2 Yamahai's and 1 Mizumoto. The Yamahai tastes are bold and strong, and are great with meats or served warm. The Mizumoto is a wonderful example of the sheer range of sake brewing styles.


1: HANATOMOE Mizumoto x Mizumoto  (720ml)

Intense nose of mushroom, hard cheese, malt, and fruity characteristics of grapes and cherries, honey, and lemon. Almost like an ice-wine, this is a real treat! 

This sake has a medium sweetness balanced by a high level of acidity.  The sake has lots of umami and fruit flavors on the palate and is quite full-bodied.  The finish is long with a slight sour note at the end.

2: HYAKUJURO Yamahai Junmai (720ml)

Aged sake with a color like caramel. With aroma and taste like sherry and brandy, you can enjoy the umami and rich taste of Japanese sake. A complex and rich taste with a plump sense of volume and a mixture of umami and sourness. Warm for a softer, more rounded finish. This sake is additive-free and utilizes lactic acid bacteria for the first time in Japan.

3: FUKUIWAI Yamahai 50 Junmai Ginjo   (720ml)

This Junmai Ginjo was brewed using the high-temperature Yamahai method. You can enjoy its mild aroma and full-bodied flavor. It has a nice finish and will keep you coming back for more. Warming it up brings out the volume of flavor and acidity of this sake, making it a full, well-balanced, heated sake.
